Quick scribble I worked on during my breaks from playing AC3. Seriously, he actually thought dumping the Tea would save his village? Compared to Altair and Ezio, who were both really cool and awesome, Connor is just adorable. So naive and idealistic, though Ubisoft puts no small effort into breaking him ):

I just finished AC3 today (started playing on Tuesday when it finally came out for PC) ;____; God, that ending for Connor...

Dunno wth to think of Desmond's story though.

I was a little bit disappointed in the Boston Tea Party mission. Sean mentions how the Sons of Liberty dressed as Native Americans when they dumped the tea, but when Connor goes, it doesn't show anyone dressed up. I was looking forward to seeing his face :confused: when he sees white men in their racist Native costumes XD. Perhaps that went down in the history books because they saw Connor and just assumed he was only dressed up as a native, or perhaps there were men dressed like that going around, but they knew better than show themselves in front of Connor because they were afraid he'd break them in half if he saw them dressed that way. But he probably wouldn't hurt them, just say, "I hope you understand how hurtful it is to my people when you dress that way."

Well, you never know if he'd actually be insulted or not. I'm Chinese, and I personally find bad stereotypical depictions of Chinese people to be hilarious

I imagine that we didn't see anyone dressed up as natives for a purely boring reason: they probably didn't want to make new character models (which is a hassle) for just that one sequence.

Kind of like how all the ladies at the Opera in the very first mission were the same models as the ladies in the colonies, despite the fact that ladies at the opera at that time period should have all been in extremely extravagant dresses.

Ah yes, although I wouldn't have minded if it was only one model for a white guy in native clothing, like for a cutscene. And it's one thing for the stereotypes to exist, but it's another when those prejudices are still blantantly common. You're not offended by the Chinese stereotypes because whether or not they are there, people still accept you. Connor lives in a time when not only is he not respeceted, but people refer to those stereotypical gestures because they ACTUALLY think all Native Americans wear, so it adds insult to injury.

you're right, Altair and ezio are both very awesome.
But connor is cool in his own way! He is very stubborn, but also such a gentle character!
Ubisoft really gave him a hard time! All those things that happend to him.. and his people.. poor connor! XD

Oh yeah, he was definitely awesome too- but in a very different way. While both Altair and Ezio became this sort of strong, unbreakable hero figure people can look up to, Connor was just so much more...human? Both Alty and Etz felt like they were above and beyond me, but Connor felt more like a little brother.

He was just...so determined and strong, especially through what happens to him. He just keeps getting kicked down into the dirt and he scrambles his way back to his feet only for someone to kick him down again. He spent this entire game just struggling through tragedy after tragedy until there was nothing left for him to protect...

Sorry for the text wall, just finished the game yesterday and the emotions of that ending is still with me very strongly ;____;
